OLD PARK POP UP STORE

The OLD PARK brand, run by designer Hitonori Nakamura, started in the Fall/Winter season of 2012 . It revives that characteristic vintage feel which old clothes acquire with the passing of generations, and by dissecting these trends and re-creating them it achieves an original kind of western-style clothing.

On this occasion, in addition to the items on display at ‘BEAMS HARAJUKU’ we have also prepared an exceptional lineup. From their tremendously popular pullover shirts, to their coveralls and military coats which are all the rage amongst lovers of vintage clothing, we have prepared a selection of 1 item each from all their catalog. And there will also be some models which have not yet been revealed, and which will appear for the first time on the day of the opening.

Mystery designers launch Edmonton line at pop-up shop

About a year ago, a group of fashion designers sat around a table in the Netherlands talking about a dream project.

Wouldn’t it be fun, they thought, to do something that was all about creating clothes, with no confines other than the “What the hell — why not?” mentality? Wouldn’t it be great to approach the work with no-holds-barred creative flair?

That was the beginning of their new line, Van Mil. And this Saturday, Nov. 21, sartorially inspired Edmontonians will get to see it at a pop-up shop concept called Church (in a building that used to house Strathcona Presbyterian Church) at 8116 105th St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What they won’t find out, however, is who the creative minds behind the clothing are. Read more

When you think of the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team, you probably don’t think of Halo’s Master Chief and Cortana. Thanks to L.A.-based apparel company Undefeated, however, there’s now a connection between some of the biggest stars in sports and the most iconic names in gaming. This week, fans can purchase Halo-themed Undefeated apparel at one of Southern California’s most popular fashion destinations.

“Gaming right now is kind of the new sport,” said Undefeated marketing director Ilias Panayiotou. “Our logo is a five-strike, which falls right in line with Halo. We’re all big fans of sci-fi movies, too: ‘Starship Troopers’ and James Cameron’s ‘Aliens.’ Space marines have always been such a great concept, so it’s great for us to jump into that universe and that aesthetic with Halo 5: Guardiansand the Master Chief.”

If you’re in Southern California and interested in checking out Undefeated’s Halo pop-up store, head to 112 1/2 S. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036. You’d better be quick, though: The pop-up store opened on Halloween, and runs through this week only.
